Questions and final response:
Question 1 – Firstly, let me thank you for your help in obtaining information from Essex and Suffolk water regarding hydrant 46/660 and its failure to supply an adequate flow and pressure on 28/02/2024.
Further to this, I would like any information you hold on similar occurrences where the condition of the water infrastructure has caused you problems in carrying out your duties.
Essex County Fire & Rescue Service (ECFRS) have searched our Incident Recording System (IRS) for incidents where hydrants are noted in messages relayed from our crews at incidents and thus recorded in our IRS.
We attach a PDF document for incidents that mention hydrants.
We interrogated dated from June 2023 to June 2024.
These incidents are not necessarily concerned with the infrastructure, in most cases in the attached PDF, the incidents are included as a hydrant was used by our crews in the course of their duties.
