Apply to be a Fire Cadet

Fire Cadet applications will open 1 April and close 30 June 2024. This will be for a cohort of Cadets which will take part in our new 40 week programme starting in September. 

Our Fire Cadet programme runs one evening a week for a total of 40 weeks. You'll learn all about the fire service, what we do, and how we help make Essex safer. You'll have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities including running, ladder pitching, pumping, breathing apparatus, search and rescue, first aid, control room procedures, science of fire and much more.
