Crews tackling wood pile fire
Firefighters from Coggeshall, Braintree, Halstead and Wethersfield are currently tacking a wood pile which is fully alight in Bradwell.
Crews are using a water bowser from Halstead to supply large amounts of water to the incident.
Firefighters will be carrying out a control burn until the scene is safe to hand back over to the owner.
Station Manager Adrian Richardson said: "Crews have been working hard to surround the fire and get it under control, which has been challenging especially in his hot temperature. We're working with the farmer to redirect the fire back into the stack to stop it from spreading.
"We will be here for the rest of the evening to carry out a controlled burn."
