Winter Warmer Christmas appeal

Could you donate to Essex County Fire and Rescue Service’s Winter Warmer Christmas Appeal?

For the past eight years Community Builder Les Nicoll has set up the Winter Warmers pop-up shop in Dovercourt.

The Christmas appeal has been set up to help struggling families within communities in the North of the county who have little or no winter clothing, shoes, boots or bedding.

Les has also spent the last three years collecting donations to send Christmas hampers to families that can’t afford food or Christmas presents for their children for Christmas Day.

Last year, Les’ Christmas Hamper Appeal raised £4,500 and helped 51 families.

Les is looking for:

  • Coats, jumpers, trousers, socks, gloves, scarves, hats, shoes, boots (all sizes from babies to adults)
  •  Bedding-quilts, quit covers, sheets, pillows, pillow cases, plus towels
  • Kitchen items- cutlery, crockery and saucepans
  • Toiletries • New toys

If you can help with any donations of clothes, bedding etc and new toys, please mark your parcels to Les Nicoll and send to Dovercourt Fire Station, Fronks Road, Dovercourt, Essex CO12 4JE.
