Firefighters help 8-year-old boy with 999 charity challenge
Noah, 8 from Langdon Hills will be 9 tomorrow (30 May) and in the 9 days leading up to his birthday, he has been running 9k each day to raise money for NHS charities.
Earlier today, his run took him past Corringham Fire Station where firefighters made a water arch for him and his dad to run through.
Watch Manager Geoff Wheal from Corringham Fire Station said: “We wanted to show our support for Noah’s efforts and helped to make his run a bit cooler today on what is a very hot day. We’re really proud of Noah and cheered him on today, we hope he has a fantastic birthday.”
With his 999 challenge, Noah has raised more than £1,800 so far for NHS charities.
