Fatal road traffic collision
M25, Waltham Abbey

In attendance: 1 x Brentwood, 1 x Loughton, 1 x Waltham Abbey, 1 x Epping
Crews were called to the scene of a road traffic collision on the M25 anti-clockwise between J27 and J26.
On arrival firefighters reported that a car and a lorry were involved.
Firefighters assisted in making the scene safe and left two causalties in the care of the Ambulance Service.
Update 8am Tuesday 19 March:
Essex Police has released the following statement:
"A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a collision on the M25 at Waltham Abbey which happened just after 11.20pm last night, Monday, March 19.
"An articulated lorry was in collision with an Audi between junctions 26 and 27 on the anti-clockwise carriageway.
"Two women were pronounced dead at the scene while a man and a child were taken to hospital. The child, a girl aged ten has life threatening injuries. The man was not injured.
"The clockwise carriageway is open and a part closure of the anti-clockwise side is being managed by Highways England.
"A 32-year-old man remains in police custody this morning.
"Enquiries in to the collision and the events leading up to it are being led by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or email firstname.lastname@example.org"
