Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is looking for enthusiastic and spirited individuals to join our team of volunteers.
However much time you have to offer, a few hours a week or a few hours a day, you will be providing us with invaluable support by offering additional skills, knowledge and resources to help us do more than we have ever done before to keep Essex safe.
Our volunteer scheme will help us expand the work we do in your community, taking care of our more vulnerable family, friends and neighbours.
The scheme is designed to help us to get to more people, adding to the work currently being done by our own employees.
The scheme is expanding all the time, so we’re certain to have an opportunity to suit your skills and experience – if not now, then pretty soon.
For more information about the roles available, contact Lisa Hart, Volunteer Manager, on 01376 576 037 or at

Meet our volunteers
We have a broad spectrum of people, from different backgrounds - what they have in common is their passion and commitment to making their communities safer.
