Send us your Big Ideas
As Essex County Fire and Rescue Service develops a series of options which will help make sure it’s ready to face the challenges of the next five years it’s asking the people of Essex to contribute their ideas for the future of the Service.
In the new year the Service will begin the second stage of its largest consultation involving specific options for change.
The first stage of consultation came to close on September 6. It established the principles on which the options are being developed. Responses revealed that there is strong support for the Service developing a greater role in prevention while ensuring that a strong response capability remains at the core of the work carried out.
The next stage of the consultation will see ask people to give us their view on options for change. The options are being developed right now and any Big Ideas sent in will be considered to be included in those options.
Getting involved couldn’t be simpler. Anyone with an idea just needs to fill in the 2020 Options template form found here.
All completed forms must be sent to email@example.com by Friday November 20.
Acting Chief Fire Officer Adam Eckley said: “This consultation forms part of Programme 2020 which is the most significant change programme we have ever undertaken. It will help the Service deliver a future which is service led, community focussed, values driven and financially sustainable.
“We want everyone in the County to have an opportunity to have their say as we make the important decisions which will shape the future of Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.
“We will carry out a major public consultation in the New Year but this is your opportunity to influence the options we will be consulting on so we want to hear from as many people as possible.”
