Rosanna Briggs MBE, Deputy Head of Emergency Planning, celebrates 40 years of dedication to the County this week.
Rosanna, who was awarded an MBE for Services to Civil Protection in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in December 2013, was today presented with her long service certificate and bouquet of flowers from Acting Chief Fire Officer, Adam Eckley.

She is also inspirational in developing the community engagement programme , ‘What If…’.
Rosanna said: “It really doesn’t feel like 40 years, time certainly flies and I hope I have a few more years.
“I have had a wonderful career. One of my local career highlights was when we visited a school in Essex to teach children the importance of planning and preparing for an emergency.
“I’ve met some amazing people and I’ve been presented with many great opportunities and would like to thank both ECFRS and Essex County Council for the all the support over the years and also my team at ECPEM.”
