Remembrance Day marked at Kelvedon Park

Remembrance Day was marked with a special ceremony which took place at Essex County Fire and Rescue Service Kelvedon Park Headquarters at 11am on Tuesday November 11.

This year special tribute was paid to 14 Essex firefighters who lost their lives in the Great War: Arthur Springham, Charles Driver, Charles Cooper, Frederick Sell, Frederick Purchase, George Crabb, George Harvey, Harry Shelley, Henry Vickers, Isaac Steers, Robert Patten, Frederick Sudbury, Sidney Simpson and Timothy Frost.

A plaque bearing their names was unveiled during the ceremony.

More information about each of them can be found in the document attached. Their lives were researched by David Hughes, Essex Fire Museum volunteer.
