Pulling together for Ella
Firefighters from Tillingham are carrying out a sponsored fire engine pull to raise money for local girl Ella Middleton who suffers from Dystonia.
The ten strong crew will pull all 13 tonnes of their fire engine over seven miles on Saturday November 16. They will start the fire engine pull at 10am from the Co-Op in Burnham and following the B1021 will finish at The Square in Tillingham.
Firefighter Nick Duncan, who is organising the event, said: "When we heard about Ella we really wanted to raise money for this brave girl.
"She was diagnosed at 14 and now at 15 years-old, Dystonia is having a massive impact on her life. Before being diagnosed, Ella was a keen and very competitive footballer and dancer. Now everyday tasks are a struggle physically and emotionally for her.
"We want to raise as much money as we can, so we hope that the local community and businesses really get behind us."
