Open Days hit halfway mark
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is halfway through its station Open Day programme, with hundreds of people celebrating the fantastic work of our firefighters and staff.
To date, ECFRS has held 21 open days across the County since June, with a further 18 events taking place at our fire stations until October 15.
On Saturday (August 6), hundreds of residents attended our Open Days at Frinton, Great Baddow, Rayleigh Weir and Saffron Walden Fire Stations.
Our emergency partners, Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance, attended the events along with many other community organisations.
ECFRS volunteers gave fire safety and prevention advice and our Road Traffic Collision Reduction Team spoke to car enthusiasts who had come over to see our new Audi RS3 FireCar.
Acting Chief Fire Officer, Adam Eckley, said: “I would like to recognise the fantastic effort that all our staff have put into the fire station Open Days.
“It was clear so much hard work went into planning these events. I would also like to thank all our teams who supported and were committed to these very successful and extremely popular events.
