Design a Road Safety App
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is calling on whizz kids to design a smartphone App to help spread the road safety message.
The competition will see young people aged between 15 and 21 years-old submitting a mobile App which promotes road safety with a theme of friendship in mind.
Under 16s will win a special prize day at a fire station and over 16s will be able to further their career with a week’s work experience with the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service’s media team.
Andy Strougler, RTC Reduction Manager, said: “Last year the Service dealt with more than 1,200 road traffic collisions.
“We have launched a competition for a young person to design an App with an original take which can be used by our RTC reduction team to promote road safety to young people in the future.”
