Audi Supplies New FireCar to Essex County Fire and Rescue Service
A new FireCar has been donated to Essex County Fire and Rescue Service by Essex Audi. The new Audi S3 will help the Service’s RTC reduction team engage with young drivers and modified car enthusiasts.
FireCar is one of the ways that Essex County Fire and Rescue Service helps to spread road safety messages and advice throughout the county. The car will attend events which see large gatherings of people with modified cars, as well as other events with young people.
Assistant Chief Fire Officer, Paul Hill, said: “Partnering with Audi is a wonderful opportunity to work with like-minded people who want to help protect our local communities. This new Audi S3 FireCar will help Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and our partners in the Safer Essex Roads Partnership deliver important road safety messages to young drivers. Together we can help to save lives, prevent injury and reduce risks.”
Head of Business at Chelmsford Audi, Darren Thompson, said “ We are pleased to be working with Essex Fire Service on this fantastic initiative. We had no hesitation in agreeing to supply the iconic Audi S3 to assist in reducing accidents and increasing road safety. Essex Audi are always keen to support community projects; this one being outstanding and close to our hearts.”
The Fire Service also has FireBikes. Like the FireCar, these bikes help the Service engage positively with Essex motorcyclists on a range of safety and related issues. This helps to promote safer riding and reduce the number of motorcycling casualties in the county.
