"Firefighters worked extremely hard at this incident and did an excellent job stopping the fire spreading to a possible further 500 cars which were close by.

"The first fire crews on scene managed to quickly get on top of the fire and due to the size of the stack of cars called in for extra resources to assist. The fire was very intense and hot but the fire crews managed to contain the fire very quickly and stop any further damage.
