Firefighters were called to a bus that had come off the A127 before hitting wooden fencing.

Crews were called to the London bound carriageway between Noak Bridge and the Fortune of War roundabout.

Three people were on board the bus. Two were medically assessed before being led off the vehicle.

Crews left the incident scene at 13:42hrs.

Assisting Divisional Officer Craig McLellan said: “Our crews and paramedics worked well and professionally to assess the casualties before taking them to safety.

“The bus wasn’t in service and was being used to train a new driver.  The driver and the two instructors were the only people on board.

“Both casualties were extremely lucky because the wooden fencing had impaled the bus either side of them.”
