Senior Project Officer

12 Month Contract

Working Hours:  37 hours per week 
Salary:   £33,163 per annum
Location:  Kelvedon Park

Are you an experienced Programme or Project Support Officer looking for your next step? This is an exciting opportunity to join our Innovation, Risk and Future Development Directorate, to support the On-Call Development Programme.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and highly organised individual who will be able to support delivery of the On-Call Development Programme, provide coordination and support to the Programme Manager and project teams and ensure effective delivery of projects and workstreams.

As Programme / Project Officer, you will provide high quality programme management support, offering advice, support and the relevant tools to enable a high standard of planning and delivery, whilst ensuring best practice. You will be responsible for generating reports to monitor progress of projects and programmes and will maintain and collect data to evaluate programme performance. You will support the implementation of risk, issue, project planning and change control processes and documentation and support delivery as required. Alongside this, you will be involved in facilitating workshops – so confidence speaking and presenting to groups is a must - and project planning, risk and lessons learned.

Experience of supporting a programme management office or project office and ability to use project management methodology would be preferred. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be methodical and extremely organised and have a good understanding of risk, planning and benefits realisation. You will be confident communicating at all levels ideally hold a relevant project/programme management qualification.
