Breathing Apparatus (BA) Technician
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £26,999 - £29,636 pa
Location: Lexden Workshops Colchester (travel throughout the County will be required)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Breathing Apparatus Technician within the Technical Services Department at Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.
The role will be responsible for the repair, servicing and maintenance of the organisations Breathing Apparatus and BA related equipment to support the operational capabilities and requirements of a modern Fire and Rescue Service.
The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to practically apply manual dexterity skills with a level 2 standard of education e.g. GCSE or equivalent.
Proficiency in assessing problems, interrogating information and determining the most appropriate action to feedback to other departments or senior managers is essential. You will also be proficient in IT skills and be required to use the Services equipment management system.
